- Soroseris, a true total high altitude specialist. Wont find it below 4000m / 12,000ft.
- A tiny flowered, but great colored Sedum found in 4500m.
- Rhodiola, a rose-root.
- Our 4 drivers and two guides, all Khampas,
- A cool lichen, may be a Lethariella, but that is just a guess...
- A curious, hungry finch that ran between our feet
- White-capped River chat or Red start. They love hanging around creeks, but are very shy.
- A Pheasant (Phasanius colchicus) crossing the road.
- Gentiana atunsiensis, one of my favorite Gentians. Loves to grow above 4200m!
- Gymnadenia orchidis - I love finding orchids! Check out my Tibetan Orchid page.
- Juncus allioides - No wetland junk is! Pretty nice flowers for a grass, eh?
- Lepista nuda, the Blewit growing along the path in Nyade, Chinese: Yading
- What a fruiting! But I ahve no idea what this is. I did not take an image of the pores.
